Veterans Day 2.0

by todd carpenter on November 11, 2007

Here’s a way to celebrate Veterans day Web 2.0 style. I had the pleasure of meeting Gina Elise of Pin Ups for Vets last week at Blog World. This young lady is awesome. She came up with an idea to sell a retro “Pin Up” style calender, reminiscent of what you might expect to have seen during WWII.

The proceeds of the sales go to a series of efforts to help injured veterans and to raise the spirits of our troops over seas. Political bloggers have largely taken up her cause. In fact, Gina said it was the primary form of publicity she receives.

You can see all the details at her web site. Buy yourself a calender, and one for those you know are serving us all so courageously around the world.

One more note. Thank you to all the troops. I support you, and your mission. You’re doing a great job.
