With how easy marketing online can be (not to mention usually much more cost efficient), mortgage professionals should be promoting every way they can via the net.

Facebook? Yep.
MySpace? Definitely.
Websites? Oh yeah.
Blogs? Of course.
Twitter? You bet.

And on and on. Throw out as many "lines" as you can into the internet.

Kate

I have all three and then some. I do facebook, twitter, have a blog on several platforms. I have been getting business from all three. If you are not doing it, then you are behind the 8-ball. I use the mortgage website mostly do to online applications, but I have a downloadable one that seems to be more popular.

Right, now I am averaging 2 to 4 extra leads a week from being on these "social" networks. I love having fun with those that do not get it.

That graph is absolutely killer, and I wonder if you have one for Realtors that show how worthless some homes and lifestyle ads are?

I have been a loan officer for 7 years and unfortunately, I'm just now starting to understand the power of the internet. I have had a webpage for a few years, but did nothing with it other than give it to my existing clients. I think that your graph shows the truth where our industry is going. great job.

Absolutely. I have both a site and a blog. NO complaints. Print advertising is going the way of the dinosaur.

You could get the best of both worlds, if you advertise on newspaper websites. And if you're talking about your own online space, then I suppose a combination of a website+blog would be best. And wouldn't hurt to spend some time building relations and friends on facebook, twitter, linkedin, etc. So I guess people should have all these things?
